Creating a receipt
Updated on 2026-08-22
You will find the till at the top of the menu under Kassa (Till). You also get there straight from the calendar, with the Afrekenen (check out) button on an appointment.
The overview screen
On opening you see three columns.
Vandaag in de agenda (today in the calendar) — the clients still to be checked out. Per line the time, the name, who worked on them, and · aanwezig (· present) if the client has checked in. A speech bubble means there is a note on that client. Appointments that have been cancelled, are already finished or already have a receipt no longer appear. At the bottom the button Losse verkoop (walk-in sale).
Open rekeningen (open accounts) — receipts that have not been checked out yet. Draft receipts (not yet on the server) are at the top in orange.
Afgerekend (checked out) — what this till closed in this session, with the receipt number alongside.
Opening a receipt
- From an appointment — tap the line, or use Afrekenen in the calendar. The active blocks of that appointment come onto the receipt as lines, with the staff member of that block and the price fixed at booking time. Processing blocks are not charged.
- Losse verkoop — a receipt without an appointment.
Entering lines
The entry screen is on the right.
At the top the label Medewerker (staff member) with a button per staff member. Kies eerst een medewerker (pick a staff member first), otherwise you get that message literally: every line hangs on one staff member, because the performance figures depend on it. Cabins are not among them here.
Below that, six tabs:
| Tab | What for |
|---|---|
| Diensten (services) | cutting, colouring, blow-drying |
| Producten (products) | what you sell; with a search field on name, brand or barcode and a Scan button |
| Menu's (packages) | fixed combinations at one price |
| Cadeaubon (gift card) | selling a gift card |
| Korting (discount) | a discount on the whole receipt |
| Tegoed (credit) | topping up credit on a client record |
One tap books the line. No intermediate window, no confirmation.
For a product, the brand and the stock appear under the name (Wella · voorraad 7).
Adjusting a line
Tap the line. A window slides open at the bottom with the description and 2 × € 43,00 = € 86,00. In it:
- a Medewerker block to move the line to someone else;
- a row of choices: Aantal (quantity), Korting and Prijs (price);
- a number pad, with quick choices per position — 0.5 / 1 / 2 / 3 for the quantity, 10 / 20 / 50 / 100 % for the discount;
- at the bottom Regel weghalen (remove line) (in red) and Bewaren (save).
The number pad slides the digits in from the right: 1 becomes € 0,01, 12 becomes € 0,12, 125 becomes € 1,25.
Discounts
There are two kinds, and both work best with discounts that are fixed in advance, which you set up once in the back office. See Discounts.
On one line — tap the line and choose Korting (discount). The salon's fixed discounts are there: one tap and it is applied. If you do want to type something yourself, choose Zelf intikken (type it yourself) and use the number pad. On the receipt that reads as · Personeel · −50 %, or as · −€ 5,00 for a fixed amount.
On the whole receipt — the Korting tab. Each tile shows what the discount would come to on the current total; a fixed discount in euros shows its amount. Alongside the fixed discounts there is Vrij bedrag (free amount), with which you type in an amount and a description yourself (for example Korting stamklant — regular-client discount). A receipt discount is booked as a negative line, so that it is visible on the printed ticket.
If the receipt carries more than one VAT rate — a service at 21 % and a product at 6 %, or a gift card with no VAT — you get several discount lines, one per rate. That is not a mistake: VAT is calculated per receipt line, so a discount on the total has to be split per rate as well. A discount can never take off more than is on the receipt: the total becomes zero, never negative.
Gift cards and credit
Both carry no VAT, and the screen says so too:
Een cadeaubon verkopen is een geldbeweging, geen levering: er komt geen btw op. De btw volgt bij het inruilen, op wat er dan gekocht wordt.
(Selling a gift card is a movement of money, not a delivery: no VAT goes on it. The VAT follows on redemption, on whatever is bought then.)
Under Cadeaubon verkopen (sell a gift card) you optionally fill in the code of the card and the amount, with quick choices € 25 / € 50 / € 75 / € 100.
Tegoed bijstorten (top up credit) is only possible on a receipt with a client — it has to sit on something. Without a client the tile is disabled with the message eerst een klant koppelen (link a client first).
The receipt on the left
There you read the name of the client (or Losse verkoop), the state, the lines, and at the bottom the totals: possibly Korting, then a line per VAT rate such as btw 21 % over € 71,07 (VAT 21 % on € 71,07), then Totaal. If part has already been paid, Betaald (paid) and Nog te betalen (still to pay) appear as well.
If there is nothing yet: Nog niets aangeslagen. Kies rechts een dienst of een product. (Nothing entered yet. Pick a service or a product on the right.)
Right at the bottom there is hash 3f9a2c… — see The cash journal.
Frequently asked questions
Can I attach a client to a walk-in sale? Not from the till screen itself. A receipt gets its client from the appointment it was opened from. If you want to check out in someone's name, first make the appointment in the calendar and use Afrekenen.
There is a red "medewerker ontbreekt" on a line. That line hangs on nobody. Tap it and pick a staff member; otherwise the Persoonsprestaties (individual performance) report is wrong.
