Scanning consumption

Colour never goes over the counter. A tube you use up at the basin is gone all the same, but no receipt says so — and without that movement HairConnect does not know what you need to reorder. Hence this screen: Stock → Consumption.

Scanning

One field, and it is focused the moment the screen opens. Point your barcode reader at the tube: it types the code and presses enter itself. Every scan takes one item off stock and adds a line to the list below.

No reader? Type part of the name — illumina 9/60 is enough. If it fits more than one product you get the names and choose yourself; nothing is guessed. Writing off a 100 ml bottle when the 250 ml one was meant is something you only notice when the box arrives.

The search covers all of a product's barcodes, old ones included. When your supplier changes the packaging, the pack still on the shelf keeps working.

Archived products do not book off. They are out of your catalogue; booking them anyway would undo your clean-up.

Scanned today

Below the field is what was booked off today: time, product, quantity and who scanned it. The person shown is the staff member linked to your login.

Made a mistake? Press Undo. Nothing is erased: a counter-entry is added and the stock goes back up. So it stays visible that something was corrected, and the sum for the order proposal still adds up — it totals the movements, exactly as it handles a return at the till.

The list shows today only. This is a worksheet, not an archive. What happened last week is in Reports → Consumption, where you pick the period yourself.

Why this matters

What you scan here counts towards Order what was sold on the deliveries, and towards the sentence you say to the assistant: zet de bestelling Wella klaar op basis van wat vorige week verbruikt is. Without scanning, that proposal only sees what went over the counter — and for colour that is nothing.
