Work schedules
Updated on 2026-08-22
A work schedule is a staff member's fixed roster. Alternating weeks — week 1 / week 2 — are the rule rather than the exception in a salon, so that is possible.
Where do I find this?
Salon → Werkschema's (work schedules).
The form
A work schedule is a week, so the screen is a week. All seven days are always there, in fixed order, with one toggle per day — like a roster on the wall.
At the top
| Field | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Naam van het schema (name of the schedule) | yes | bv. Voltijds, of Ada — vier dagen — e.g. Full-time, or Ada — four days |
| Wisselt over (alternates over) | yes | number of weeks, 1 to 4; 1 = elke week hetzelfde. — 1 = the same every week. |
| Kleur (colour) | no |
The week blocks
If Wisselt over is set to 1, there is one block: Weekrooster (weekly roster). If you set it higher, Week 1, Week 2, and so on appear.
Zet aan op welke dagen er gewerkt wordt. Pauze gaat van de gepresteerde uren af.
Switch on the days that are worked. The break is deducted from the hours worked.
Per day — Maandag (Monday) through Zondag (Sunday) — one toggle. If you switch it on, three fields appear:
| Field | Default | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Van (from) | 09:00 | required as soon as the day is switched on |
| Tot (until) | 17:00 | must be after Van |
| Pauze (break) | empty | in minutes, 0 to 480; placeholder geen (none) |
A day off shows no hours: those fields would suggest a value that is stored nowhere.
What happens on saving
The screen works with a week; the database with one row per worked day. On saving, the existing rows are discarded and written again.
Two things to know:
- A switched-off day produces no row. That way a day off remains something other than a day from 00:00 to 00:00.
- If you take the schedule back from two weeks to one, week 2's hours disappear for good. They must not quietly linger.
The list
Schema (schedule), Kleur (colour), Weken (weeks), Dagen (days — the number of shifts) and Uren per week (hours per week) — in the form 38,0 u.
That last figure is calculated from the shifts, not from a target value: it is what is actually there.
If there is nothing yet: Nog geen werkschema's — Leg vast wie wanneer werkt, dan weet de agenda welke momenten boekbaar zijn. — No work schedules yet — Set out who works when, and the calendar will know which slots are bookable.
Where the work schedule counts
- the Bezetting deze week (occupancy this week) tile on the overview screen;
- the Bezettingsgraad (utilisation rate) report, column Beschikbaar (available);
- the Prikklok-overzicht (time clock overview) and the Prikklok (time clock) report, column Gepland (scheduled);
- the dimmed bands in the calendar, outside someone's working hours.
Without a work schedule those figures stay empty — not zero. A percentage without a denominator is a lie that looks like a figure.
Frequently asked questions
How do I link a schedule to a staff member? This screen does not do that. It sets out the roster itself; the linking happens outside this form.
Can I enter an exception for a single day? For leave, illness or training you use Salon → Afwezigheden (absences). Those are deducted from the scheduled hours.
