Cash journal and transactions

Cash journal
Rapporten → Kassaboek (Reports → Cash journal). Opens on this month — a cash shortfall from last week is rarely something you trace back on a single day.
Table 1 — Kassaboek
Float + cash receipts + pay-ins − pay-outs = expected drawer.
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Datum (date) | |
| Contant ontvangen (cash received) | receipt payments with a cash payment method |
| Ingaven (pay-ins) | the float and other deposits into the drawer |
| Uitnames (pay-outs) | skimming, bank deposits, cash expenses — shown as positive |
| Verwachte lade (expected drawer) | cash + pay-ins − pay-outs |
| Getelde lade (counted drawer) | the last count of that day, or — |
| Verschil (difference) | counted − expected |
Without a count it shows — and not 0. No count means no difference, not a difference of zero.
Only payment methods that are cash count. Bancontact is not in the drawer.
The float you put in the drawer in the morning should be booked as a cash movement Erin (in). Then expected covers exactly the same contents as counted, and every difference is a real difference. Every day stands on its own: one forgotten count does not pollute the rest of the month.
If the drawer is counted twice on one day, the last count is the one that counts.
Table 2 — Kasbewegingen (cash movements)
Everything that went into or out of the drawer outside of a receipt.
Moment (moment), Door (by), Reden (reason) and Bedrag (amount). Maximum 500 rows.
See Reversals and the cash drawer for the booking itself.
Transactions
Rapporten → Transacties (Reports → Transactions). This is the only report that does not add up but lists. It exists for the question "that customer says he paid cash on Tuesday, is that right?"
The filters
Alongside the period: Medewerker (staff member) (Iedereen, everyone), Betaalmiddel (payment method) (Alle, all), Klant (customer) (Alle klanten, all customers) and the toggle Toon ook geannuleerde bonnen (also show cancelled receipts), which is on by default.
Cancelled receipts are included by default: that is exactly why you open this screen. They do not count towards the total.
Switch that toggle off and what remains is exactly what also counts in the revenue report. That way you can put the two screens side by side; they ought to match.
Gevonden (found)
Above the list there are five figures: Bonnen (receipts), Tegenboekingen (reversals), Geannuleerd (cancelled), Totaal (total) and Gemiddelde bon (average receipt). They come from all the receipts found, not from the visible page — otherwise the total would change as you page through.
The list
Bon (receipt) (with Tegenboeking underneath where applicable), Afgesloten (closed), Klant (or Geen klant, no customer), Kassier (cashier), Totaal, Btw (VAT) and Status.
You can search on the receipt number.
If there is nothing: Geen bonnen gevonden — Pas de periode of de filters aan. (no receipts found — adjust the period or the filters.)
The export
The export covers all receipts that match your filters, not the visible page, and has its own columns: receipt number, date, customer, staff members, payment method, number of lines, amount excl. VAT, VAT, total and status.
Above 5.000 receipts it is cut off, with the message Beperkt tot de eerste 5.000 bonnen. Verfijn de periode voor een volledige export. (limited to the first 5.000 receipts. Narrow the period for a complete export.)
