Een eenvoudige website met uw aanbod, uw uren en een knop om te boeken. — A simple website with your services, your hours and a button to book. Everything on it comes from the data you already keep here: you never maintain anything twice.

Switching on and publishing

Two checkboxes, and they mean different things.

While the second is off, your site does not exist for the outside world. You do see it: the button Bekijk uw site (view your site) opens a preview in a new tab, with a bar at the top saying Preview — this site is not published yet. That link works for an hour; after that the screen makes a new one. Feel free to send it to your phone, but not to your clients. Turn the site off again later and your texts stay.

The address is hairconnect.be/site/yoursalon, shown at the top of the screen as soon as you switch the site on, and you can click it. Once the site is published, Bekijk uw site simply opens the site.

What appears on the site

From your data, automatically and always current: your services with price and duration (if you show those online), your opening hours and closing days, your team, your address, phone and email, your logo and colours, the social channels you entered under Het salon, and a button Lees onze recensies op Google (read our reviews on Google) next to Route if you entered the link to your Google Business Profile there, and a WhatsApp button at the top and under Contact if you entered a WhatsApp number there — otherwise it says Bel ons (call us).

How the site is built

Top to bottom, the way a client reads it:

1. Navigation bar with your logo or name, links to Over ons, Prijzen, Team and Contact, and the Afspraak (appointment) button. It stays at the top while the client scrolls.
2. The header: your first photo across the full width, with your name and your line over it, the buttons Boek online (book online) and WhatsApp (or Bel ons), and "Vandaag open tot …" (open today until …). Without a photo the header is dark with a soft glow in your accent colour.
3. Over ons (about us): your text, with your second photo beside it.
4. Prijzen (prices): your services per group, with price ("vanaf" where you marked it) and duration if you show it online.
5. Team: round photos; a staff member without a photo gets a first letter.
6. Een blik binnen (a look inside): your remaining photos as a mosaic.
7. Openingsuren en Contact (opening hours and contact) on one dark band: "Vandaag open tot …", the whole week day by day (closed days included), your closing days, your address with Route, your phone number, WhatsApp, Mail ons, the Google button and your social channels.

A section without content — no team, no photos — is left out, and then it is not in the navigation bar either.

The kind of business you chose under Het salon sets the mood: a barber gets a dark site with a serif face in the headings, a hair salon a light, warm one, a beauty salon a soft one with a lot of white. Your accent colour from Huisstijl colours the buttons, lines and small headings in all three; if you chose your own background colour under Huisstijl, that wins.

Change a price tomorrow and it is on your site tomorrow. Nothing to do.

Alleen diensten met een publieke naam komen op uw site. — Only services with a public name appear on your site. Internally a service is sometimes called "nl women"; your shopfront needs "Women's cut". If names are missing, the screen tells you how many — you add them under Diensten (services).

A team member without a photo appears on your site as a first letter only. The screen says that too: "3 van uw 4 medewerkers hebben nog geen foto" (3 of your 4 staff members have no photo yet), with a link to Team, where you add them.

The texts

Three fields you fill in yourself, because they exist nowhere else:

The button Schrijf de teksten voor mij (write the texts for me) produces a first version. If the assistant is switched on (see Modules), she writes using your own words as well; otherwise we build the texts from your data. Either way the text stays yours: you edit every field.

Wij lezen uw Facebook of Instagram niet zelf uit. — We do not read your Facebook or Instagram ourselves. They do not allow it, and such a connection breaks the moment they change something. Copying and pasting once takes twenty seconds and keeps working.

Your own domain name

If you already have a domain name — say www.yoursalon.be — your site can live there.

1. Enter the name and save.
2. At your domain registrar, add a CNAME record with the value sites.hairconnect.be.
3. Press Controleer nu (check now). We check in the background; that takes a minute at most. If the answer is not there straight away, reload the screen.

The rest happens by itself: we see your domain pointing at us, request the security certificate and put your site on it. That usually takes a few minutes.

If there is an error, the message also says what you can do. We retry by ourselves afterwards.

Enter an address of HairConnect itself and we refuse it. You already have your address with us; this field is for your own name.
