Wella Education

Kies per medewerker opleidingen van Wella Education en toon ze in de agenda op een vrij moment. De knop opent de pagina van Wella zelf; aanmelden doe je daar met je eigen Wella-account. (Choose Wella Education courses per team member and show them in the calendar during a free moment. The button opens Wella's own page; you sign in there with your own Wella account.)
Instellingen → Koppelingen → Opleiding → Wella Education → Instellen (Settings → Integrations → Training → Wella Education → Configure). Only the owner can do this.
What it is
Wella has its own training site, education.wella.com, with short online courses per product and technique. The list of those courses is public; the course itself can only be viewed once you are signed in at Wella.
This integration does three things:
- Every night it reads the Belgian catalogue: the Dutch- and French-language online courses (Belgium NL eEducation and Belgium FR eEducation, with their subcategories). Only the title, the language and the address — nothing of the content.
- On a team member's form you choose which courses she should follow: a course from that catalogue, or a link of your own (for example a video on YouTube). You fill in yourself when she has followed a course.
- In the calendar a quiet Opleiding (training) button appears when a team member has a free moment today that is long enough. A click opens Wella's page in a new tab.
HairConnect never asks for your Wella password and stores none. You sign in on Wella's own site, just as you do today.
Switching it on
- Press Instellen (configure) and fill in Opleidingen tonen in de agenda bij een vrij moment van minstens (show courses in the calendar during a free moment of at least), in minutes — for example 30. Leave it empty and HairConnect still reads the catalogue, but the calendar shows nothing.
- Save and switch the integration on.
- Verbinding testen (test connection) reads the catalogue right away: you see how many Dutch- and French-language courses there are. Nothing is stored yet; the nightly read does that.
As long as no salon switches the integration on, HairConnect does not talk to Wella.
Choosing courses for a team member
Team → Medewerkers (Team → Staff), open the person, tab Wat ze kan (what she can do), section Opleidingen (courses) (it only appears with the integration on). Click Opleiding toevoegen (add course). Per row:

A row needs a course or a link of its own. HairConnect never attaches a course to a team member by itself, and never sets a date by itself.
What the calendar shows, and to whom
During a free moment the Opleiding button shows the courses chosen for that team member that have no date under Gevolgd op yet. As soon as a date is filled in, the course no longer appears.
A free moment is a part of her working day without an appointment or an absence that, from now on, still lasts at least as long as you set. The button checks again every five minutes: if a client cancels, it appears by itself.
Who sees the button:
- the owner: for everyone with a free moment;
- a team member or manager: only her own courses, and only with the right Opleidingen op een vrij moment (courses during a free moment) on her form (tab Wat ze mag (what she may do), group Agenda). That right is off by default. It does not apply on a work login.
Nobody sees a colleague's list, except the owner.
Frequently asked questions
Why don't I see the course I found on Wella's site? HairConnect only reads the Belgian online courses. Seminars with a date and a place (Seminars, IST, Master Color Expert) and the archive are deliberately left out: those are registrations, not a video for a free quarter of an hour. For such a course you can use a link of your own.
Can I attach a course to a service, so that everyone learning that service gets it? No. You choose per team member what she should follow. The suggestion at the top of the list does look at her services, but it attaches nothing.
What if Wella removes a course? After the next successful read it disappears from the choice list and from the calendar. On the team member's form your row stays, so you can see what had been chosen.
And if Wella's site does not respond? Then the list from the night before stays. Nothing disappears because Wella was down once.
Can HairConnect open the course for me, without signing in? No. The content belongs to Wella and stays behind your own Wella account. HairConnect does not show it, does not copy it and signs nobody in.
