Switching

Switching from Salonized to HairConnect

Salonized is more open about this switch than most: an export function and who owns your data are both described publicly. That makes the starting point clear — the rest you have to ask them.

What we know about this one

Which kind of data comes across in full, what ends up in an archive and how the cutover runs are described once — the same for every package: the general switching policy.

  • Their help centre describes an export function inside the application itself: through the settings, under "data exporteren", with separate articles on exporting for your bookkeeping and on where to find your exports.
  • Their terms and conditions say literally: "the Customer is and remains the holder of all rights and powers with respect to all data and information of the Customer." Your data is yours, and you do not have to argue for it.
  • Those same terms set out a notice period of at least one month, and tacit renewal if a fixed-term agreement is not cancelled in time. Their pricing page separately states that the monthly subscription can be cancelled at any time free of charge. Check which applies to you.
  • Their database sits within the EU, in Frankfurt, according to their own pricing page.

What we do not know

This gets the same billing as the rest. A switching plan that lists only the certainties is not a plan but a sales pitch.

  • Exactly what that export contains, and in what format. We have not seen one. So we do not know whether your colour history is in it in full.
  • Whether treatment reports come along for anyone on the cheapest plan — that module only appears, by their own price list, from a higher tier.
  • What happens to SMS credits you have bought and not used. Their help centre says credits never expire; what that means when you leave is not stated.
Your part

What you arrange yourself

  • Make the export before you cancel, not after. As long as your account is active, you can reach it.
  • Ask in writing for your data in a machine-readable format — article 20 of the GDPR — if the in-app export does not contain everything.
  • Check whether your agreement is a fixed-term one. That decides whether you leave monthly or with a month's notice.
  • Arrange your Peppol invoicing separately if it is not running anywhere yet. That is not a migration task but a legal one, and it stands apart from whichever package you choose.
Does my colour history come across?
If it is in the export, it comes across in full — that is our policy for every source. Whether Salonized hands it over completely, we do not know; that is the first question to ask them.
Do I have to cancel first?
No, and please do not. With us your old package stays alongside the new one for another month. You only cancel once everything is running — and then with whatever notice your agreement states.
Do I lose my Treatwell integration?
Yes. We have no integration with the Treatwell marketplace. If a noticeable share of your new clients came from there, count that in before you decide.
