Switching
Switching from Posworld to HairConnect
We have never done this switch. That is written here at the top rather than at the bottom in small print.
What we know about this one
Which kind of data comes across in full, what ends up in an archive and how the cutover runs are described once — the same for every package: the general switching policy.
- By their own pricing page, Posworld bills quarterly by default. That partly determines when stopping is practical.
- Whatever your contract says: article 20 of the GDPR gives you the right to your own data in a common, machine-readable format. That right holds against any supplier, even one without an export button.
What we do not know
This gets the same billing as the rest. A switching plan that lists only the certainties is not a plan but a sales pitch.
- Whether Posworld has an export function or an interface, and what would be in it. It is not on their public pages, and we have never seen one of their accounts.
- How their colour formulas are stored. That decides whether we can take them over in full or only as text.
- What their agreement says about notice and about what happens to your data afterwards.
Your part
What you arrange yourself
- Ask Posworld in writing for a complete export of your data, explicitly invoking article 20 of the GDPR. Do that first: the answer can take weeks.
- Ask explicitly whether your colour history is included. It is the most valuable part of a salon's file, and the part most often missing.
- Check how your quarterly billing runs, so you do not switch just after a new period starts.
- Let your old booking link fade out, and look at your payment terminal separately — it often hangs on a contract of its own.
- Can you read my Posworld data?
- Once we have an export in hand, yes. What we can do with it depends on what is in it — and we can only tell you that after looking. That look comes before anything is decided.
- How long does it take?
- Reckon on four to eight weeks, as with any other switch. Most of that is waiting for your export.
- What if the export turns out to be incomplete?
- Then we tell you, before you cancel. Whatever does not come across lands in a list of clean-up proposals; nothing is skipped silently.

Let us look at your file first
Before anything is decided, we know together what is in your current package and how much of it comes across.
