HairConnect vs SalonSolution

Two Belgian packages, two different answers to the same question: how do you bring a salon clients without charging it per client?

SalonSolution writes on its own site "made in Belgium" and "Dutch-language support, you speak to the makers". Their hairdressing page is titled "salon software with an online calendar, till system and client management".

Their rates are published in full, on annual billing and excluding VAT: SOLO € 16.58 a month for one staff member, START € 24.17, GROW € 49.17 for five staff and PRO € 82.50 for ten. An extra staff member costs between € 15.00 and € 7.00 a month depending on the plan. Fourteen days free, no credit card.

They run their own marketplace. Every subscription includes a free profile on SalonFinder, with the words "no commission per booking" stated outright. That is a third way between "software without reach" and "a marketplace that takes a percentage".

What is in the middle column comes from their own site or from our own measurements; the sources are at the bottom of this page.

Where they are stronger

  • Their prices are there, to the cent, with the VAT treatment and the billing period stated. We cannot say that today.
  • A marketplace without commission per booking is a real offer. We have no marketplace at all: anyone looking for visibility will find nothing with us.
  • "You speak to the makers" is not a slogan at a small vendor but a difference you feel the moment something goes wrong.
  • They are running at salons today. We are not.

Where we do it differently

  • We build for hair salons only, and the calendar shows it: processing time as a separate block, a different duration per staff member, a cabin treated as a resource.
  • With us the colour formula is structured data, not just a note. So you can search it, deduct it from your backbar and show it to the client.
  • The cash journal is append-only with a hash chain and gapless numbering, and VAT is calculated per receipt line rather than over the total.
  • We put your data in a practice database before the decision, so you see your own salon instead of an empty trial account.
What does SalonSolution cost?
From € 16.58 to € 82.50 a month, on annual billing and excluding VAT, plus an amount per extra staff member — that is what their pricing page says in August 2026. If you pay monthly rather than annually, ask them what the difference is; it is not stated.
Isn't a marketplace without commission simply better?
If you are after visibility it is certainly cheaper than a marketplace with commission. What it earns you depends on how many people search there; we do not know and we are not going to estimate it.
Why don't you have a marketplace?
Because a marketplace also shows your clients the salon on the next street. We think that choice is yours to make, and not a by-product of your calendar software.
